OEO6500 Platform is a Transparent Optical Transport Solution based on DWDM technology (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and CWDM technology (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) serving with flexibility and robustness, several kinds of applications in optical systems. Built with extremely flexible and modular architecture, the capacity of OEO6500 Platform can be expanded without service interruption up to 80 channels at 10 Gbps. The OEO6500 Platform supports Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, add/drop, ring and mesh topologies.

There are two kinds of equipments in the OEO6500 Optical Line Protection system, which are integrated equipment (OLP6300B OLP Unit) and plug-in one (OEO6500B OLP Chassis). By real-time monitoring the power status in the working fiber, it can automatically switch to the backup line when the power value is lower than a user defined threshold. OEO6500 optical line protection system can provide more stable, flexible and redundant transmission network for users. The system has been widely used for protecting backbone networks.
